Product Description
A beautiful play of colour and light, this vintage Fenton carnival glass bowl captures the wonderful iridescence that made carnival glass so popular in the early 20th century, shimmering with rich copper, amber, purple and golden tones.
Dating to circa 1930s, this decorative bowl features an embossed grape and vine design, with clusters of grapes and trailing leaves surrounding a central leaf motif. Its softly ruffled, scalloped rim adds movement and character, while the lustrous iridescent finish changes beautifully as the light falls across the glass.
Measuring approximately 17cm wide, this charming piece would look lovely displayed on a sideboard, occasional table or amongst a collection of antique and vintage glassware.
Carnival glass earned its familiar name from its association with fairground prizes during the early 20th century, although it was also widely sold as affordable decorative glass for the home. Today, its remarkable colours and intricate patterns continue to delight collectors.
Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.
