Product Description
Like a little garden captured in glass, this beautiful Fenton carnival glass bowl glows with warm apricot, golden amber and delicate pink iridescence, its charming floral decoration coming to life as the light moves across its surface.
Dating to circa 1910, this lovely American pressed glass bowl features Fenton's decorative Little Flowers pattern, with raised blossoms radiating around a beautifully detailed central flower. The softly fluted form and delicately crimped rim add a graceful finishing touch, while the shimmering iridescent surface creates the wonderful play of colour for which early carnival glass is so admired.
Measuring approximately 24cm in diameter, this generously proportioned bowl would make an attractive centrepiece on a dining table, sideboard or occasional table, where its intricate floral design and glowing colours can be fully appreciated.
Founded in 1905, the Fenton Art Glass Company became one of America's most celebrated decorative glassmakers, renowned for its imaginative patterns and richly coloured iridescent glass. Early examples such as this reflect the enduring appeal of carnival glass during the opening decades of the 20th century.
