Dating to the mid-20th century, the elephant features a glossy black glaze, elaborate ceremonial headdress and richly detailed saddle in shades of cream, blue, green and warm ochre. Measuring approximately 21cm x 22cm, it stands on a rectangular base with a flat platform suitable for displaying a small potted plant or decorative ornament. Age-related glaze crazing is present.
