Product Description

Delicate yet striking in its contrast, this rare Shelley China “Black Garland of Flowers” trio in the elegant Queen Anne shape captures the refined sophistication of early 20th-century English porcelain design. Dating to circa 1926, the pattern combines intricate floral garlands with a dramatic black border, creating a beautifully balanced composition that feels both timeless and distinctive.

The softly angular Queen Anne form, with its gently fluted edges and sculptural profile, adds further elegance to the trio while showcasing Shelley’s celebrated craftsmanship and attention to detail. The set comprises a cup, saucer and plate, measuring approximately 6cm in height for the cup, 13cm for the saucer and 16cm for the plate.

Pieces in the Black Garland pattern are increasingly sought after, particularly in the Queen Anne shape where decorative artistry and refined form come together so beautifully.

Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.

If This Piece Could Talk…
It might recall the quiet elegance of an afternoon table set with care, where polished silver, soft conversation and handwritten letters formed part of the rhythm of the day. Perhaps it was brought out during moments of pause and reflection, chosen not only for its beauty, but for the sense of refinement it brought to even the simplest ritual.

With its striking black detailing and graceful Queen Anne form, this Shelley trio still carries that same atmosphere of understated sophistication — a reminder of a time when small daily rituals were treated as something special.
