Product Description

A striking French perfume atomiser dating to the 1920s–1930s, beautifully modelled in the form of a monastery bell and finished in soft powder blue with gilt detailing. Rich in symbolism and craftsmanship, the design features intricate relief work including a grapevine frieze, an angelic face accompanied by an animal figure, and a Latin inscription translating to “whoever touches me will hear me” — adding an almost poetic sense of mystery to the piece.

Both decorative and functional, the atomiser is fitted with a replacement bulb pump while retaining its elegant period character. Measuring approximately 12 cm tall, it is a beautifully unusual example of early 20th-century French vanity ware, equally suited to display on a dressing table, vanity, or curated interior shelf.

If This Piece Could Talk…

Perhaps it once rested upon the mirrored vanity of a softly lit Parisian dressing table, surrounded by crystal bottles, silk gloves and handwritten letters tied with ribbon. With each gentle press of the atomiser, a delicate cloud of perfume may have drifted through the room before an evening at the theatre or a late supper beneath chandelier light.

The bell-like form, the whisper of the Latin inscription, and the quiet gaze of the angelic figure give this piece an almost ceremonial presence — as though it was created not merely to hold fragrance, but to preserve atmosphere, ritual and memory itself.
