Product Description
A striking interpretation of classical form in rich Majolica glaze. This pair of 19th century English candlesticks is modelled as Doric columns, bringing architectural elegance into decorative form.
Each candlestick features a fluted shaft rising from a square base to a finely detailed capital, reflecting the enduring influence of classical design in Victorian decorative arts. The glaze transitions beautifully from deep olive green at the top to warm golden yellow and amber tones at the base, creating depth and visual warmth across both pieces.
Standing approximately 18.5cm tall, they make a refined statement as a pair on a mantel, dining table, or within a layered antique display. Their symmetry and sculptural presence allow them to anchor a setting with quiet elegance.
There is a very small glaze nick to one corner of one base, as shown in the images.
As these are antique and vintage pieces, gentle signs of age are to be expected and form part of each item’s unique history and character. We invite you to contact us for further details or additional photographs should you require them prior to purchase.
