Product Description
Bold in design yet beautifully restrained, this striking Lalique Chevreuse vase is a wonderful expression of French Art Deco elegance. Its sculptural silhouette, with a series of polished crystal bands encircling softly frosted glass, creates a captivating interplay of light, texture and architectural form.
Dating to approximately the 1940s, this distinctive vase features a gently flared upper section, finely moulded vertical detailing and a succession of projecting circular bands that give the design its remarkable sense of depth and rhythm. The contrast between the satin-like frosted surfaces and clear, polished edges is characteristic of the refined glassmaking techniques associated with Lalique.
Standing approximately 15cm tall, the vase bears a Lalique signature, although the inscription is faint and difficult to distinguish. Beautiful displayed on its own, its sculptural form would make an elegant statement on a sitting room sideboard, mantelpiece or occasional table. It could also be used for a modest arrangement of flowers, bringing a touch of French sophistication to everyday living.
Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.
