Striking in both colour and form, this Lalique “Cap Ferrat” crystal ashtray captures the refined modern elegance and luminous artistry for which Lalique became internationally celebrated.
Dating to the circa 1970s, the piece combines rich sapphire blue crystal with clear frosted and polished elements, creating a beautiful interplay of depth, light and transparency. The softly rounded circular form is accented by flowing petal-like blue motifs radiating from the centre, while the sculptural rim catches and reflects light beautifully from every angle.
Measuring approximately 17cm x 4.5cm, the ashtray has a substantial weight and beautifully balanced proportions, allowing the depth of colour and clarity of the crystal to remain the focal point. Both decorative and functional, it works equally well as a collector’s display piece, catchall or elegant desk accessory.
