A wonderful glimpse of traditional English country life, this Royal Doulton jug features a lively fox-hunting scene with mounted huntsmen and hounds racing across the countryside.
Dating to approximately 1924–1945, the jug is decorated with a richly coloured hand-finished scene framed by deep green glazing and a distinctive black-and-white geometric border. The substantial angular handle and strong colour contrast give it considerable decorative presence despite its compact size.
Measuring approximately 12cm tall, it would look particularly good displayed in a study, library, country-style kitchen or amongst a collection of early Royal Doulton.
