A delightful glimpse beneath the waves, this charming Royal Doulton Coral Strand vase captures the beauty of Australia's marine life, with delicate fish swimming amongst colourful coral and gently flowing underwater foliage.
Produced circa 1938–1955 as part of Royal Doulton's Australian Fish Series, the vase features a tall cylindrical form with a softly flared rim and deep green pedestal base. Its beautifully coloured decoration combines soft greens, golden yellows and coral pinks, creating a lovely underwater scene. Standing approximately 19cm tall, the vase bears the Royal Doulton backstamp and pattern number D5967.
With visible glaze crazing consistent with age, this attractive vintage English pottery vase would make a lovely addition to a sitting room, coastal-inspired interior or collection of Royal Doulton decorative ceramics.
