Crafted in layered cellulose acetate, the brooch features a striking mosaic-style geometric pattern in soft silver-grey, black and pearlised tones, accented by warm peach detailing to the ears. Created in Paris during the 1970s–1980s, the design reflects Lea Stein’s celebrated use of colour, texture and sculptural form.
The relaxed curled sleeping cat silhouette gives the piece a graceful and calming presence, while the layered geometric finish creates wonderful depth and visual movement across the surface.
