Product Description
A wonderful Art Deco desk accessory with genuine period character, this marble clock and matching perpetual calendar would make a particularly handsome decorative piece for an office, study or library.
Dating to circa 1920s–1930s, the clock is set within an architectural marble surround and accompanied by a chrome-tone perpetual calendar, all mounted upon a substantial rectangular marble base. The contrasting marble tones and clean geometric lines are wonderfully characteristic of the Art Deco period.
Measuring approximately 18 cm wide x 8 cm deep x 10 cm high, it is an appealing size for a desk, bookshelf or library table and would also make an unusual gift for an Art Deco enthusiast or collector of vintage office accessories.
Please note the clock currently runs very fast due to a hairspring issue and is therefore being sold as not working and for decorative purposes only. There is age-related wear throughout, consistent with its age and use. The perpetual calendar remains a charming feature and the piece presents beautifully as a decorative object.
Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.
