Product Description

This vintage naval bosun’s whistle, also known as a boatswain’s call, was crafted by Rider & Bell in 1943 and is marked accordingly. Traditionally used aboard naval ships to issue commands and signals, it features its original curved shape, an attached ring, and is stamped with the military arrow mark.

It measures approximately 12cm long. There is age-related wear consistent with its use and age, adding to its authentic character and historical charm. A striking piece for collectors of nautical memorabilia or World War II-era artifacts, it makes a wonderful display item or thoughtful gift for history enthusiasts.

If This Could Talk:
"If I could speak, my call would echo across the waves, sharp and clear above the wind and salt spray. I once hung from a proud sailor’s neck—polished, purposeful, and ever-ready. With a breath, I summoned men to duty, to meals, to muster, and sometimes… to moments of silence and remembrance. I have known calm seas and furious storms, the creak of timber decks and the hush of starlit waters. Though now I rest in stillness, I carry the spirit of the sea, and the memory of voices, commands, and camaraderie carried by ocean winds long past."
