Three cheerful frogs, one very unusual planter and a little story from the past! This wonderfully quirky ceramic frog family is full of personality, with oversized eyes, broad smiles and a charming mint-green glaze.
Based on a 1977 Arnel's ceramic design from Oregon, USA, the planter was hand-glazed by hobbyist Judy Story and gifted to Helen in March 1986, as recorded in the handwritten dedication underneath. Measuring 26cm wide x 15cm deep x 17cm tall, it features three frogs nestled together, with an open planter compartment at the back.
A delightful piece of vintage Americana, this whimsical planter would make a memorable gift for a frog enthusiast, keen gardener or someone who enjoys unusual vintage treasures with a little history.
