Product Description
A dramatic moment captured in porcelain, as two spirited horses rear beneath the command of a classical charioteer. This magnificent Royal Dux figure group captures the movement, energy and theatrical elegance of the Art Nouveau period, making it a striking centrepiece for any collection.
Dating to circa 1900, this finely modelled Bohemian porcelain sculpture features a classical chariot drawn by two rearing horses, beautifully finished in delicate pastel tones with gilded accents. Measuring approximately 40cm long, the group displays the intricate modelling and expressive detail for which Royal Dux porcelain is admired. The sculpture retains its decorative reins, although it is uncertain whether these are original to the piece.
An impressive statement piece for a mantelpiece, sideboard or display cabinet, particularly appealing to collectors of European porcelain, equestrian art and classical sculpture.
