A gentle scene drawn from the English countryside. This Royal Doulton trio in the “The Coppice” pattern (V2105), dating to circa 1953, features pheasants in flight set against a soft landscape of trees and undergrowth.
The design reflects mid-20th century British taste, with naturalistic imagery rendered with restraint and balance. The birds are depicted with a sense of movement, while the background remains softly blended to create depth. Subtle gilding to the rims provides a refined finish, consistent with Royal Doulton tableware of the period.
The trio consists of a cup (approximately 6.5cm high), saucer (14cm), and plate (15.5cm), all well matched in form. Condition consistent with age, with no major damage noted. A well-preserved example of post-war Royal Doulton design.
