Product Description
A rare and rather delightful survivor of the Art Deco era, this 1927 cherry brandy decanter by the highly collectable British silversmiths Hukin & Heath combines elegant English silverwork with a wonderfully playful cherry-red glass stopper.
The beautifully shaped clear glass body is hand-engraved with the words CHERRY BRANDY, while the sterling silver-mounted neck adds a refined finishing touch. The bright red ball stopper is particularly charming, echoing the cherry brandy the decanter was originally intended to hold.
Measuring approximately 17.5cm tall, this unusual piece would look wonderful displayed on a drinks cabinet, bar cart or amongst a collection of Art Deco glass and silver. There is some age-related wear, consistent with its history and use.
Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.
If This Piece Could Talk...
Imagine a gathering in an English home during the late 1920s. Dinner has finished, conversation continues, and a little cherry brandy is offered to guests. From the drinks cabinet comes an elegant glass decanter, its bright red stopper adding a playful touch to the occasion.
Nearly a century later, the engraved lettering and cheerful cherry-red stopper remain — a charming reminder of an era when even serving a little after-dinner drink was an opportunity for beautiful design.
