A substantial and beautifully modelled Austrian cold painted bronze stag dating to circa 1890–1900, sourced from the private collection of the late Derek Greengrass, respected antique dealer. This impressive piece stands 26cm tall and measures 21cm in length, weighing over 2kgs, with richly textured fur and original period painting. The stag is slightly top-heavy and leans to one side; it is unclear whether one back leg may have been restored at some point, though this is difficult to determine and does not detract from its striking presence.
