Product Description

Celebrating the rich artistic traditions of the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation, this signed hand-hammered solid copper pedestal dish by Harold Alfred (born 1953) dates from circa 1970–1990 and is a striking example of Indigenous craftsmanship.

Featuring a traditional stylised Sun face surrounded by a beautifully hammered edge, the dish has developed a rich vintage patina that enhances the warmth and character of the solid copper. Measuring approximately 17 cm in diameter and 5 cm high, it is equally suited as a decorative centrepiece or functional pedestal dish, bringing both artistry and cultural significance to the home.

The silver colouring around the foot is original to the manufacturing process, where solder was used during construction, and is not wear or damage. It also makes a wonderful gift for collectors of Indigenous art, handcrafted copperware or anyone who appreciates beautifully crafted cultural objects.

Each piece in our collection carries the subtle marks of time, adding to its authenticity and charm. Any notable details are thoughtfully included in the description and imagery. Should you wish to see more, we are always happy to assist.
