Christmas nostalgia in ceramic form, this wonderfully detailed Fitz & Floyd Toyland Santa cookie jar captures Santa surrounded by a colourful assortment of toys ready for Christmas morning.
Dating to circa 1990s, the hand-painted ceramic design is filled with charming details, including a teddy bear, rocking horse, Christmas tree, presents and toys, all arranged around Santa and his overflowing toy box. Measuring approximately 22cm tall × 16cm wide, it is a substantial decorative piece without being overly large.
Designed as a cookie jar, it can still be used for Christmas treats or simply brought out each December as part of a festive display on a kitchen bench, sideboard or Christmas table.
The ceramic displays crazing consistent with age, as shown in the photographs.
