Product Description
A striking interplay of clarity and sculptural form. This set of five mid century French crystal wine glasses by Bayel, in the Venus de Milo pattern, features stems formed as frosted nude figures supporting clear bowls.
The design draws on classical inspiration, with the figure referencing the Venus de Milo, interpreted through mid 20th century French glassmaking. The contrast between the clear bowl and the softly frosted stem highlights the sculptural detail, with each figure carefully modelled to create both visual interest and balance.
Each glass measures approximately 18cm in height. A distinctive and well-matched set, suited to both use and display.
We endeavour to provide accurate information on all items; however, as these are antique and vintage pieces, variations and signs of age are to be expected and form part of their character. Please contact us if you would like further details or additional photos prior to purchase.
If this piece could talk, it would speak of softly lit tables, the clarity of glass raised in company, and the quiet elegance of forms drawn from the classical past. Of moments shared, and details that reveal themselves with use and light.
