Product Description
A striking expression of movement in the Art Deco style. This mid 20th century bronze figure depicts “Lysis”, after Pierre Le Faguays (working under the name Fayral), with the elongated dancer captured mid-motion, her draped form extending outward in a sweeping, balanced composition.
The design is consistent with Art Deco principles, with strong lines, symmetry, and a sense of controlled movement. The figure is mounted on a shaped marble base, grounding the dynamic form and typical of pieces in this style. The dark patina is even, with surface finish consistent with age and casting techniques of the period.
Measuring approximately 37cm in height, the piece presents well and displays strong visual presence. An increasingly sought-after example of Art Deco figural work after this designer.
We endeavour to provide accurate information on all items; however, as these are antique and vintage pieces, variations and signs of age are to be expected and form part of their character. Please contact us if you would like further details or additional photos prior to purchase.
If this piece could talk, it would speak of stage lights, poised movement, and the elegance of a modern age finding its rhythm.
