Royal Doulton

An English potter, Royal Doulton initially made artistic and utilitarian stonewares in the early 19th century. In 1882, it moved to Stoke-on-Trent and began creating primarily artistic pottery, tableware, and decorative items in competition with similar ceramics companies.

During the 1900s, Royal Doulton shifted to fine bone china, creating collectible sets of:

- Dinnerware

- Figurines

- Vases

- Jugs

While vases and single pieces are attractive antiques, figurines and tableware are what interests many collectors. Notable product lines include the Royal Doulton Bunnykins figurines and tableware depicting darling bunny characters in the English countryside. Marple Antiques has many of the Bunnykins pieces as well as other examples of Royal Doulton pottery.
