Moorcroft Pottery

William Moorcroft began as a potter with the Macintyre pottery company in 1897, during which time he produced his own range he called Florian Ware before opening his own factory. Moorcroft was appointed official “Potters to H.M. the Queen” in 1928.

Moorcroft pottery is notable as each piece is hand painted with and many are made with a firing technique that produces vibrant colours. Primarily for decoration, antique Moorcroft pottery includes:
